Mobile Networks and Applications - Call for Papers: Cyber-physical System and Artificial Intelligence for Medical Diagnosis

Overview:

Intelligent medical has revolutionized the field of medical diagnosis and has attracted increasing attention due to its increased efficiency and accuracy. The acquisition, management, and analysis of pathology information through human-computer interaction of health care information can help pathologists reduce many of their repetitive mechanical workloads and can provide excellent support in the clinical teaching of pathology. Achieving such intelligent medical diagnosis has become a pressing and popular research topic.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most rapidly developing technologies in our lives that can assist in medical treatment and make diagnosis smarter. There is an expanding market for the use of AI in medical diagnosis, which can digitize pathology slides and facilitate access to data for pathologists and other medical staff. The combination of the obtained slice datasets with the powerful computing and learning capabilities of computers results in assistive diagnostic software. By applying analytical algorithms, including traditional machine learning algorithms and deep learning algorithms, the computer can automatically detect lesion areas in the slides and quantitatively assess metrics to help pathologists make fast, accurate, and reproducible pathology diagnoses. AI has become an indispensable tool in medical diagnosis.

However, current intelligent medical is still at the stage of weak intelligent medical, and the products and services of various application scenarios are mostly in the trial stage. AI healthcare still faces challenges, such as medical data silos and insufficient structured data. Therefore, it is important to first realize the integration and open sharing of medical information and health data, and use AI to organize and analyze the fragmented medical information. In addition, assisting in the medical diagnosis process can improve medical and health services, promote rationalization of decision-making, and solve the problem of uneven allocation of medical and health resources. In addition, with AI and new computational intelligence algorithms and systems, new models and means of AI diagnosis and treatment can be developed, and a fast and accurate intelligent medical system can be established. Thus, this special issue aims to explore recent advances in Cyber-Physical System (CPS) and AI for medical diagnosis.
